Officers in attendance: David Mahoney, Warren Mitchell, Mark Whelan, and Ken Phillips.
Members in attendance: Brian Hiles, Mark Coleman, Mike Rice, George Mann, Keith Ritchie, Gary Smith, David Hicks, and Wesley Cornett.
David called the meeting to order and discussed financial sources for the Governor's Open and possibly adding lodging for out-of-town Pro's moving forward. He also advised distribution of donations given by JHGA and all agreed the purpose of the Governor's Open was for enjoyment, we all felt that was accomplished this past year.
Mark went over the financial report and opened the floor for discussion and basic issues were discussed and satisfied.
Warren reviewed the 2025 tournaments and advised that participation had increased significantly. He also told members that JHGA dues would remain the same in 2026 and that the 2026 Tournament schedule is on the JHGA website for review. He plans on using Golf Genius for skins game computing for 2026 tournaments and both tournament and skins results will be made available 24-48 hours after the completion of each tournament.
Warren announced that Secretary Ken Phillips will not be seeking this position for 2026. Ken was thanked for his willingness to serve as the JHGA Secretary for the past two years and the great job that he has done.
Mark Coleman nominated Mike Rice for Secretary and the three remaining officers to their current positions for 2026. The motion was seconded by Keith Ritchie and carried unanimously.
Warren then moved to adjourn the meeting and the motion passed unanimously.
